Astroworld Price of Admission?

TL;dr: how much did Astroworld cost at any time between 1968 and when it closed?

I just learned through a series of rabbit holes that the cost to enter Disneyland this year, on it's most expensive day, was $206 and that when it opened, Astroworld cost $4.50 (1968).

I grew up in Houston, going to Astroworld, often doing everything in the world I could do to earn enough money to buy a season pass. The DELIGHT I always had on the day I got to run in to that blue building and get my photo take and my season pass made.

I THINK those passes were maybe $150? But in 2025 that feels SO CHEAP. And how much were daily passes? I feel like I remember bringing an empty coke product container you got $5 or $10 off? And sometimes you could buy discount ones from Kroger? My mom's work sold discount passes to it's employees (Shell Oil) iirc.

SO – does anyone have any memory or records of how much Astroworld cost at any time between 1968 and when it closed?
