Astros seating

I haven't been to an astros game for a very long time, and I'm trying to decide on seats to take my kid (5) and my dad.

Right now I'm mostly looking at field level, but I can't tell if the first few rows of the 300 level are actually pretty decent, but they're like 1/2 the price of what I can find for field level.

For those who have maybe been to a few games and know the stadium, if we're assuming field level tickets anywhere near the baseline or plate are $100+ and 300s are around $50 for the first few rows and close to behind the plate, which is better?
