Astros Rank as Best Offense in MLB by wRC+ from August 6-12

Last week, I posted how the Astros had the worst offense from July 30-August 5 with a wRC+ of 50. I closed that post saying I hoped it aged like milk. Well, I am pleased to announce that post aged like milk out in the August sun with zero shade.

This past week, the Astros had a wRC+ of 166, best in MLB. Their 14 HRs ranked 3rd in MLB and 39 runs scored ranked 4th. Best of all, they have gone 6-0 since then, making it obvious my post was the key to this past week's success. /s

And to keep things consistent, here are those same bonus stats from my last post to see how 1 strong week can make a difference.

.537 OPS w/ based loaded (27th); previous OPS .539 (29th)

.774 OPS w/ RISP (11th); previous OPS .759 (15th)

.703 OPS in 7-9 innings (T-12th); previous OPS .684 (17th)

Just stop loading the bases and all should be well!
