Consider signing up to volunteer at a local shelter! The dogs and cats will keep you warm with cuddles.

All jokes aside, I work with the Pasadena Shelter (local animal control, not SPCA) & we already had a glorious Reddit community moment where we found Rufus a landing pad/possible forever home. If you’re interested in volunteering there (no notice needed/no scheduling/no “bad” or assigned tasks), I’m happy to help get you set up. Dogs don’t get walks and kittens don’t get played with without volunteers.

If you’d reaaally like your own personal cuddle buddy, I’ll help you get started as a foster. There are transport trucks leaving TX on 11/20 and 12/1 and dogs can become eligible if they have a two week foster willing to take pics of them and answer some questions abt behavior. All supplies/meds are provided & it’s literally just providing pictures (which we both know you’ll already be doing for the gram 😉 )!
