As Houston considers e-scooter ban, Downtown businesses form coalition pushing for regulations

The city of Houston is proposing an ordinance banning the use of e-scooters in the Downtown, Midtown and East Downtown areas of Houston. While supporters of the proposed ban say it is necessary to stop dangerous behaviors from irresponsible riders, those opposed say regulations should be in place, rather than a blanket ban.
