Artist studio (metal fabrication)?

My partner is new to Houston – he is full time metal artist and will need a space to weld. He has worked from his garage for last few years but since we were living in a rural area, the noise that working with metal creates wasn’t a problem for our neighbors.

Where can he rent studio space? What areas of Houston could he work out of his garage? I kind of just assumed that isn’t an option since I’m more interested in suburban areas.

Also curious about fab shops – aware of flying carpet and rootlab. Any other creatively-minded fab shops out there?
