ARP/MC3 Certification Training
This is a copy paste from another site. It's good info and thought I'd share. This is not my post, not my story.
I just completed 3 weeks of training for an ARP/MC3 certification. If you know anybody that wants to get into the construction trades (electrician, plumber, pipefitter etc.) , they're an accelerated way to land a stable UNION career.
We had 12 union reps talk to us about their wages and benefits and every single trade is respectable and offers job security. Every day out of the 15 days were a great learning experience. You might think you remember high school math, but some unions require an aptitude test before they accept you as an apprentice and you'd be surprised how many of us needed the week of math for what we thought we already knew.
I'm 27 and I wish I knew about the ARP/MC3 program when I was 18. I'd be a journeyman by age 23 earning $40+ take home, with full benefits paid separately from my hourly without having had to spend years trying out different job paths haha. Even pouring money into a pension for retirement.
I believe the next class starts in April, but they said their goal is to run these classes 4 times per year. Look them up and let them know you're interested in the next cohort so they'll keep you posted. Their classes were held in Deer Park TX. I have no affiliation with them but am grateful for the doors they've opened. They deserve 100x more recognition than what they currently have.
