ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS: TEXAS COAST FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT PLANS TO BE REVEALED OCT. 30
For those who’ve been paying attention into this subject, you are familiar with the flood control projects that have been worked on in the last few years. While there is still plenty to go and we aren’t finished yet, the improvements and how they helped such as in preventing Beta from being much worse than it could have been are steps in the right direction.
The Army Corps of Engineers will release its next phase of Texas Coast flood projects. Since all of our current projects in place have been designed to protect from heavy rains (which were the cause of the infamous 3 historic floods in less than 3 years). But we haven’t addressed potential storm surge yet. Maybe this is the Ike Dike?
