This team has been frustratingly streaky. Earlier this month they were shut out four times in a six-game stretch, and since July 7 their offense has posted a wRC+ of 84 — that’s 16% below league average over more than two months.

The pitching has mostly kept them in games, but can we trust this lineup to find consistency when it matters most? Or is the playoff experience and “clutch factor” enough to get by?
