Are y’all superstitious when the Astros are playing?
During the regular season I’m not superstitious. During the playoffs, I’m really superstitious. I try to convince myself that I’m not. Do y’all tend to do the same things after a win in the postseason until it doesn’t? I would love to hear y’all’s stories because I have a story to tell y’all!
Before game 2 of the World Series last fall, my mom and I ate at this Asian fusion restaurant by my house. After we ate we watched the Astros win game 2 and tie up the series 1-1. After the travel day and game 3 where the Astros got teed off by the Phillies. My dad wanted to go eat at the same restaurant we went to earlier. Not thinking anything of it we went and I had the same dish I always get. The Astros again went on to win the game to tie the series 2-2. After the game I realized that every time I had food from this restaurant we went on to win the game. So the next day I went and got my same order. The Astros went on to no hit the Phillis. I was beside myself that all 3 times I’ve ate at this restaurant before the game we ended up winning. The next day my dad told us that we would be going to game 6 of the World Series and leaving in the morning around 9am since we live in Dallas. I soon realized that the restaurant wasn’t open that early so I was freaking out that I needed to find a way to get food from that restaurant before I left. I decided to order my food that night and wait till midnight to finally eat. So that’s what I did Didn’t want to jinx it eating it the day before. Miraculously the Astros won game 6 to clinch the title. After the final out and stood there and just thought if that was just luck or it really helped us win. I just wanted to share that with you guys. If you have any stories please respond! I want to hear them.
