Are there areas in Central and North Texas that don’t have those nasty and ugly outdoor American Tree Cockroaches? I have a phobia of them.

I live in Houston and we are overtaken by them in the summer. I've even seen them while walking my dog in our neighborhood in the winter time but that's rare. The summer is disgusting though..I have a phobia and am terrified if I see them fly.. I can handle other bugs but these are just too much. I honestly want to leave Houston because of this. I want to know if there are parts of Texas besides the panhandle that don't see them regularly in summer or do I need to move out of state??? I know they don't have them in Colorado which is very very appealing.
