Are there any dentists in town who aren’t charlatans?

For the last decade or so, every time I go into the dentist they want to charge me an exorbitant amount for cleaning that I simply cannot afford. The last place I went to wanted me to do it quarterly for $1600 a pop and that's like having an extra car note.

Their waiting area was full of literature on how you could take out a loan to pay for what they were doing and I was generally treated as if I was buying a used car. On top of all that they wanted to put me in invisalign, which I do not need.

I just want a dentist who will do the job without trying to fleece me out of my last penny. Being upsold after the fact isn't pleasant. Do those exist?
