Appraisal Question
Bought my house in 2021 for 230K appealed the first year using the sale price and comps provided by realtor. Got my homestead approved and then got the tax statement and appealed. Received this back today.

You filed a 2023 protest with the Harris County Appraisal Review Board using the Electronic Filing and Noticing protest system on Account xxxxxxxxx. You selected the iSettle™ option, which takes the place of an informal meeting with an appraiser and allows your protest to be considered for an online settlement. After reviewing the protest and hearing evidence, the Harris Central Appraisal District staff proposes that the 2023 market value of your property be changed as follows:
Market Old Value – $306,949 and New Value $294,167
Appraised Old Value $254,435 Appraised and New Value $254,435
This really doesn't do jack for me as taxes are based on the appraised value correct? Or am I out in left field here?
