Apartments near TMC that allow small pet birds?

Title! Currently searching for a place around the medical center area. I have a 3 year old male cockatiel that I'm bringing to live with me. Most places that I've searched allow dogs and cats but don't specify exotic pets. Anybody have any advice on how to approach management about this? Or maybe past experience with apartments that allow small pets? A lot of the places I've checked out charge upwards of $200 for a pet deposit, but my bird has never been destructive towards apartment property whenever I let him out, so I'm not sure how to negotiate with management about this.
