Apartments near rail lines

I live in upper Kirby right now, and I really enjoy access to the metro that I have now, but I’m interested in living within walking distance to the red or green line, or possibly near the silver line in the galleria. I live a mostly carless existence(on purpose), except for once a week to get to work in La Porte. I’m mostly uneducated on which parts of the lines are near interesting, “walkable” or otherwise just nice areas. Does anybody have anyone have recommendations for apartments they lived in near any of these spots? Thanks very much.
