Apartments in the loop (Kirby, Montrose, Museum District, TMC)

Hi everyone! Does anyone have any leads on newer, reasonably priced 1b/1b apartments in these areas? Hoping for a relatively safe place and around restaurants, grocery stores, etc while staying around the $1600-$1800 range. All the reviews I’m reading are terrible, with everything from fire alarms to pests to catalytic converters disappearing. Prices also seem weirdly high for the square footage. Anyone have any firsthand experience with a place and could point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance!
