Apartment suggestions (From FL to Tx)

I plan on moving next week. Just curious to where people in this awesome community can recommend. Just need 1b/bath, maximum $1300. I will live alone, my job does not start until mid March. I looked online but every place is "car broke into" and other horrible stories.
