Apartment suggestions

Where should a single 30F live if also working in Crosby? I want to live in the city and develop more of a social life, but Houston is so huge it’s hard to know where to go. I’m not into clubbing. I know there’s downtown, midtown, uptown, Jersey village, the heights etc. sorry if this is a stupid question
