Apartment Recommendations!

So I got a job offer in the Houston Medical Center and my estimated EOD is around Sep 22. I’ve lived in DFW my whole life so I’m not familiar with Houston at all. I was wondering if anyone had some good recommendations for apartments? I’ve heard from a few friends that live in Houston that Midtown was a good choice for me, but they told me I should look for a place with its own parking garage. My budget including utilities is $2000 max, but obviously I would want to minimize that. I appreciate any feedback and any other tips for moving in general are much appreciated! 🥲

Edit: i’m also moving in alone, so studio or lofts would be cool too! I’m just the most concerned about safety and I guess as clean as possible? Sorry if i’m asking for a lot.. new to this
