apartment hunt

hello everyone!

i am in search of an apartment in the Houston area. as an Los Angeles native and first-time renter, i was looking to find more info on how to find an apartment or any advice on moving here. my boyfriend has a great job opportunity with no specific city in mind for relocation, but we do have to be as close as possible to the city of Houston. we aren’t able to travel until june, as we still work full-time here in CA, but in the meantime i figure there’s ways to work around this. any advice? tips?
