Anyone recently replace their furnace?

Our furnaces kicked the bucket over the weekend and the first company which came out quoted us $5,500 per furnace which seems to be on the high end based on googling (first time homeowner with little experience in this stuff.)

Has anyone in the Houston area had their furnace replaced and what did you end up paying?
