Anyone here moved to Houston from New York/north east US?

New York house prices getting crazy, I’m honestly looking to move to Houston in the future. What are average wages for someone without college? I will have a roommate, we’re both into cars and we know the scene is big out there like it is here. Any more information I’d need to know?
