Anyone having ridiculous delays with USPS?

I checked my mail yesterday on 10/13. I found a letter from my car insurance company dated August 10th and postmarked August 14th. I understand that the North Houston sorting facility is notoriously bad, but I didn't have any problems in the first half of this year. In fact I've never really had any problems with USPS in my life, nothing I would consider out of the ordinary or egregious.
