Anyone have experience with the current state of emergency clinics?

Been sick for two weeks, but it's gotten really bad the last three days. (Not Covid related illness.) I tried calling a local emergency clinic and was on hold for so long and couldn't get through to anyone. I'm in a lot of pain and my doctor doesn't have an opening until next week. Just curious, are the emergency clinics all backed up too? Anyone have any experience?
