Anyone have experience filing a civil suit in Harris county.

I’m researching the process of filing a civil suit over stolen property from a shared home. I’ve got receipts, text messages, photos, saved and I think I have a solid case, I’m hoping to go through a lawyer as a last resort.

It seems simple enough but I don’t want to risk all this work being for nothing if I’m unable to convince a judge to rule in my favor on my own – if anyone has gone through this any sort of information would be helpful.
