Anyone had a Indian priest come and ask for donations?

Was working at the store and he came just now and was asking for donations for some orphans and handicapped people in India. He showed me some license that said he was a priest and he took out and showed me some pictures of kids and and some old handicapped people and asked for a donation. Gave him a 20 then he asked for some more and gave him another 20. Then he put this yellow stone and this like spiked rock thing? Into my hand then prayed then he left.

Has anyone had this happen before?
