Anybody here have an insulated patio cover?

I'm having to replace my patio cover after Beryl knocked the old one down. I've been debating paying the extra to get the insulated aluminum over the simple corrugated aluminum panels.

I'm just wondering if it's worth it and looking for feedback from anybody who actually has or had one. Specifically, the claims that it will help keep your patio cool and reduce noise from rain.

I honestly can't believe it will help with cooling here in Houston. Not with our humidity. If the patio is enclosed, or maybe even screened, sure. But mine is neither of those.

The noise reduction is what's really tempting for me, my last cover sounded like a kettle drum with even the slightest drizzle.
