Any tips on picking someone up from spirit IAH? noon~ weekday

I recently got back from a trip and the uber took like 30 mins to pick me up when it was "4mins away". I guess construction is that bad, didnt get to see it in person.

Any tips on picking someone up? Should I wait in the IAH cell phone lot or park closer (any free lots?). From what I understand, if I wait in the cell phone lot, I have to travel across all the terminals to reach spirit (terminal A) and im wondering if thats going to be hell, or if i can skip most of the terminals and not have any issues with traffic. Thanks!
