Any must see places in houstonfor solo traveler?

I have a day trip in houston and im leaving tomorrow morning. As someone came from atlanta, i like city vibe, trying new restaurants, or going to a market. My place is pretty far from the space center so maybe i wont go there. Any recommendations of a place to hangout maybe in downtown houston?
