Any Houstonian living in SW or W suburbs who have never been flooded in past three big floods?

Hello all!

Looking to buy a house in SW, NW or W suburbs (Sugarland, Katy, Richmond, Aliana etc.) Can anyone who live in or near these cities comment on their experience with flooding during the last 3 big flood events? I have referred to the fema maps and floodfactor, but would love to hear from real people who live in these areas and their experience dealing with the floods.
