Any history on the antique mall called Marketplace Antiques off of the Katy Freeway?

It’s a giant antique mall on the side of the road. Went today for the first time in years and felt… uncomfortable and overwhelmed haha. But there were some cool things in there for sure.. turns out they only take cash (who’d’ve thunk). Anyways I’m super into history and history of buildings and could tell it was older. It had little faded stone walkways with flowers painted on the floors that had been there since I was a kid.

I looked it up on historic aerials and it said that it had been there since the early 60s. Anybody who grew up in the area have any indication of what this could have been? It’s near the Memorial City area.
