Any good turtle spotting locations in Houston?

My son isn't impressed with the turtles we have in Little White Oak Bayou so was wanting to see what other locations have a good amount of turtles, preferably within the loop… If not, at least within Beltway 8. Any good lakes or ponds? Something we could get close to the water.

And yes, my son likes turtles. Lol
