Any good places or areas to learn how to drive?

I don't know how to drive, at all, so I am curious about any areas, like maybe somewhere with a big parking lot that is usually empty, or empty at a certain time. Or easy areas to drive without too much traffic. I live in midtown, and people have said this is not a good area to start. So, even if it's far, like Katy or the Woodlands, I would appreciate some recommendations.
