Any dog groomers here? Looking for pay information

Can anyone let me know if being a groomer in Texas is worth it? I'm currently in Southern California making $21/hr at a corporate salon. I used to work for a private making $26. Texas minimum wage is crazy low so I have no clue how the pay structure works here. Can you make a living as a groomer? Any info helps
