Any condo owners in Houston?

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to pull the trigger on my first home and could really use some insights from those who’ve been through this, especially condo owners in the Galleria area.

I’ve been living around the Heights/Galleria area for the past 5 years and love the convenience. I’m torn between buying a condo in the Galleria (where I’ve found some great pricing) or going for a house in the suburbs. I’m leaning toward staying central, but I know condos come with a hefty monthly maintenance fee.

If you currently own a condo around the Galleria, I’d love to hear your thoughts:

• What are the pros and cons of condo living in this area? • Is the maintenance fee worth it compared to the costs (and responsibilities) of owning a home in the suburbs? • Any hidden costs or gotchas I should be aware of?
