Any apartment/neighborhood recommendations for mid 30s couple DINKs?

Moving to Houston area in the next few wks. Wondering what's a good neighborhood/suburb for a couple in mid 30s, double income no kids. He will be working downtown, I'll be working on Baytown. Ok with a farther reverse commute for myself. Considering the Heights, but didn't know what other areas to look at
