any affordable apartments left in Houston?

Ideally I am looking for something near Westchase, Brair Forest, and Memorial basically anywhere in the mid-west. The max rent I can afford would be $1,100. I feel so lost because almost every complex has pest issues or lots of crime. I work from home as well so it’s really important to me. Just looking for a great 1 bd 1 bath. Any recommendations?
