Anxiety Over Bregman: A Change in Strategy

Has anyone else noticed the shift in the organization's tone regarding Bregman? It seems to have changed from "can't miss, sign at all costs" to "we've made an offer and have a contingency plan in case he leaves." This concerns me, as it suggests he might not be feeling the Astros anymore.

Given the departures of Springer and Correa, this situation feels particularly troubling. With those two, we never claimed we'd do anything to keep them; it was clear they were leaving. Why is this time different? I think this uncertainty is heightening anxiety, especially since we haven't made any moves at all this offseason. What do you all think?
