American food buffet?

My boyfriend’s never been to an American food buffet. He’s been to lots of different Asian, Mediterranean, etc. buffets, but never American. Every time we drive by a Golden Corral he jokingly brings it up. I grew up going to Golden Corral and Home Town Buffet, and they’re not great. I think it’d be fun to take him to something similar but better tasting. Any recommendations for American buffets that aren’t Golden Corral?
