Amazon’s 100,000-person hiring effort will bring nearly 6,000 jobs to Texas

Seattle-based Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) is ramping up hiring — which will mean thousands of jobs for Texas.

The massive online retailer is plans to add 100,000 jobs — and 5,900 are slated for the Lone Star State, a spokesperson for the company said.
