Amazon aims to hire 2,800 in Houston for seasonal positions

The world’s largest e-commerce company is ramping up for the holidays with a big hiring push.

Seattle-based Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) plans to hire over 10,000 seasonal roles in Texas, including 2,800 in the Houston area, according to a spokesperson.

It’s part of a broader effort that covers 100,000 positions in the U.S. and Canada, according to a company statement. They will be at several locations across the U.S. and Canada and will complement Amazon’s regular full- and part-time positions.…
