Am I imagining things or are there way too many random crime stories in this sub?

I don't remember it being like this but now every time I come to this sub, most of the first 5-10 posts are articles about single crimes. Why? They seem popular so I guess I'm in the minority but do we really need to hear about every local murder or robbery or whatever? Who is posting these also? Sometimes (I don't have aggregate starts on this), I see it's from accounts that seemingly only post murder stories (typically only those perpetrated by minorities) in big city subs. Feels like some form of brigading. I don't know. Am I alone in this?
