Am I crazy for thinking this?

DW4 is most valuable to the Texans as an asset, not as a QB. We should absolutely see what we can get for him and seriously consider the right offer if we can get it.

I absolutely love DW4 and I once heard that if you love something let it go. We are wasting Deshauns prime years and it's a damn shame. He's arguably the most talented QB in the nfl but in spite of that we have one win and have found a way to regress him as a player. There are so many problems and he's not helping us win in a obvious way.

BoB really fucked this franchise but the franchise let him so it's a really weird situation. We are in for some tough years ahead. We have let a fair amount of quality nfl talent go in the last 3 years with little to show for it, we have some bad contracts, I believe we will have cap trouble next year, we have no valuable draft picks, no GM and no HC. I'm sure I'm forgetting something else they are missing but the point is that paying DW4 crazy money isn't going to make us a better team, I think it will do the opposite and make it harder to build around him.

I remember when all we longed for, as fans, was a franchise qb. How excited we were when we got DW4. How exciting he was to watch. We knew this was the missing piece the franchise needed to finally turn the corner. Here we are just a few years later, in the wake of the BoB destruction and it feels like an absolute dumpster fire. It's an undesirable position for either GM or HC candidate. Who wants this mess? If you could get quality picks for DW4 or Watt it's worth it. It's a total rebuild of a team and having a megacontract qb will weigh us down like an anchor.

Am I crazy for thinking this? Maybe we don't need a franchise qb for at least three or 4 years because we don't have a real nfl franchise to speak of.

It feels so desperate guys, I'll be honest.
