Alternative to Bridgeland in Cypress?

Hi everyone, my husband, son and I currently live in Pearland but are looking to move somewhere around Katy or Cypress to cut down time to visit my mom and grandma in Austin.

My husband loves the Bridgeland neighborhood because of the beautiful landscaping and amenities, but I am concerned about the high 3.5% tax rate there. Could y’all recommend any other neighborhoods that would have a similar access to bike trails, kid playgrounds, and sports facilities, plus good schools and low flood risk? I like Cinco Ranch but my husband thinks it’s a bit run down compared to Bridgeland and is worried about flooding.

We both work from home so commute time is not an issue, I’d just prefer to be no more than 30 min from civilization. Budget is 400-600k depending on tax rate. Would prefer a house built in this millennium. TIA
