Alterations for a wedding dress?

Does anyone have experience with a tailor that does alterations to wedding dresses that don’t total the price of the actual dress? (No, it didn’t come from David’s Bridal, so that’s out, they only do their own) Kind of looking for someone that does wedding dresses, but doesn’t have “bridal” in the name.
