Allergy-Friendly Brunch Restaurant

I am from California and am planning my a 30th birthday party for my friend living in Houston and need help finding great lunch/brunch restaurants with NO shellfish on the menu. She has a severe allergy, and even cross contamination is a huge risk for her, so I need to find a place that doesn't offer shellfish on the menu for her safety.

My friend is a major foodie – loves sweet brunch dishes, steak, and BBQ. She's particularly keen on having Southern cuisine on her birthday. I am looking for a place with great food and ambiance for her special day. Her mom will also be visiting so I would want to take them somewhere where the music isn't super loud, partying, etc.

So far, I've been able to find that BossCat Kitchen and Killens seem to fit the above criteria. Please let me know if these places are actually good, or if there are better options that I should consider!
