Allergist recommendation?

Has anyone had success with allergy shots? I've gone to 2 different allergists in the past and didn't like them (hidden expenses, etc).

I recently got nose surgery for a severely deviated septum. Now that I hit my deductible I'm interested in seeing what I can do to help with allergies. I live near City Centre: open to locations anywhere but downtown or east of there. Advice is appreciated!
