All students, staff at Lone Star College in Kingwood safe, escorted off campus, LSC police say

KINGWOOD, Texas — All students and staff at Lone Star College are safe and law enforcement officers are escorting them off campus, according to LSC police.
An emergency alert was issued at the campus northeast of Houston “as a precaution” Thursday afternoon after reports of shots fired, LSC Police Chief Paul Willingham said.
He said a student called 911 and reported hearing gunshots.
