Alex Bregman Appreciation Post

Alex Bregman Appreciation Post

Alex Bregman has been a mainstay in Houston for a long time, and I'm truly hoping we don't lose him in free agency this off-season. I've been a fan of the Astros forever, and even got to go to some games during the suck years when HISD gave out free tickets to us for being on the Honor Roll. I was diagnosed with AML in 2017 right after Harvey, and while I was in Texas Children's, my home was being rebuilt. Every few months, I was given a week before chemo sessions to be in the outside world. One of those weeks lined up in 2018 when Alex Bregman was filming his portion of the HR4HR T-Mobile commercials for the 2018 postseason that were supporting Team Rubicon in their effort to rebuild homes (mine included). I was lucky enough to meet Alex while he was filming and he signed my 2017 WS shirt that day. (That's me in the picture next to him) When we were able to move back in, he left me a surprise at home which was a signed ball, signed Houston strong patch, and signed Astros pennant, all of which I keep with me in college. This man has brought me so much joy as well as to this city and I hope you all join me in appreciation of Alex Bregman and in the hopes of him resigning for life during this off-season. Thank you Alex.
