Aldine ISD school board malarky: Vote for better board members

Thanks again for everyone who supported my family in stopping the Aldine ISD school board from taking his home. It’s a rare victory to stop eminent domain. They overturned the decision that a few board members boldly claim they never made in the first place. Well it was recorded as shown in the video here. Over the past four months we discovered some other disturbing facts about Aldine.

-Aldine ISD has lost over 10000 students in 4yrs

-Stadium rebuild is over budget by $16million so far

-State rating grade of C

-Lack of transparency at public meetings

-Absentee board members

-Misleading the public about my dads eminent domain case

 This is just scratching the surface. Speaking with Aldine employees has been eye opening as well. In the past few years the district has been a difficult place to work and many veteran staff have quit. I don’t know the solution but new leadership is needed or Aldine will be in danger of being taken over by the state like HISD recently was. Throughout my families struggle only one current board member bothered to reply to my families many emails and spoke with us in person and that was Viola Garcia. Two other members of the public who happen to be running for school board right now made a huge difference that allowed my dad to win. Please vote for them.

This school board acted on bad info and thought no one lived at the property they wanted. Choosing to use eminent domain in the first time in the districts history. The stated reason for wanting the property was “we don’t know why”….something needs to change. Please vote
